Since April 2021, Katharina Nowak has been working as assistant curator for the Oceania collections at the MARKK in Hamburg, Germany. Her research focuses on collaborative forms of ethnographic knowledge production and decolonization of knowledge. She has a regional interest in Papua New Guinea. Since September 2019, she has been a PhD student at the Department of Anthropology and Cultural Research at the University of Bremen. Jeanette Kokott is curator of the Oceania collections at the MARKK in Hamburg, Germany. She is a trained ethnologist with a focus in cultural ecology and museum studies. At the MARKK, she has published on the collections and (co-)curated projects and exhibitions thematically related to the Indo-Pacific. Since then, questions of digital inventory and collection databases have formed an important part of her interests.
