Miguel Cabral

He is a member of the Kotiria/Wanana, a First Nations group with about 700 remaining speakers. Miguel was born in Caruru village on the Vaupés River in the northwest Amazon of Brazil. Now he lives in Parque do Indio, a municipal area designated for the residency of indigenous people in the City. For the 'Extinctions!?' TAKING CARE exhibition - sleeping languages installation, Miguel recorded an audio in Kotiria/Wanano.
